The Mission

The mission of Catalyst is simple: train those who will train others. Catalyst Missions believes that the biblical model of discipleship in 2 Timothy 2:2 affords us no other option.

The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also (2 Timothy 2:2)

By God's grace, Catalyst has found faithful men and women all over the globe. We believe that indigenous leaders are best suited for multiplying the gospel in their contexts and to other near cultures and peoples…many of them unreached. So, our goal is to equip pastors, church planters, missionaries, and leaders who have little to no access to theological training with the necessary tools to expand the kingdom through establishing and planting faithful churches.

Some wish to live within the sound of a chapel bell; I wish to run a rescue mission within a yard of hell.

The Need

According to The Gospel Coalition International, 75% of Christians now live in South America, Africa, and Asia. 80-85% of the 2.2 million evangelical churches worldwide have pastors with insufficient training. Without shepherds who are protecting and feeding the flock (Titus 1:9), churches are not healthy, being filled with sheep who are endangered and have never learned their God-given purpose to multiply their lives for the glory of Christ. Our goal is to follow the model of Jesus and Paul in equipping leaders who will establish healthy churches for the purpose of propagating the gospel into unreached peoples.

WHERE WE’RE WORKING

The Plan

Catalyst Missions is currently engaging spiritual famine on four continents: North America, South America, Africa, and Asia. Thus far, we have trained hundreds of indigenous leaders, helped plant and establish numerous ethnic churches, and laid a foundation for long-term training institutes in Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, India, Ivory Coast, Mali, Nepal, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Peru, and Senegal. Click here to check out more about our long-term vision.

In our training, we use modular ministry curriculum with a Pastoral Training track and a Women’s Discipleship track. These modules help equip both men and women for the ministry to which God has called them for the advancement of the gospel through healthy local churches. In both training plans, we have 9 modules that require 30 hours per module. Our training normally requires a 3-4 commitment to each cohort training group. Upon finishing the training program, each student graduates with the tools necessary for faithful service in the local church and beyond in the harvest fields where the gospel has yet to reach.
